    T-10 Sideplate torque

Can someone give me the torque specs for the 9 side plate bolts on a BW T-10. All I can find in the ST-12 and other GM pubs is "tighten evenly".

    Thanks, Sully

The Muncie side cover bolts are 20 lb/ft (which seems like a lot to me but that's what GM says). In any event, I would expect the T-10 is the same.

Thanks Joe. It is a steel housing so hopefully the threads will take it.

The cast iron main case should be better able to take the torque than the aluminum housing Muncie. Also, the GM Saginaw 4 speed which used a cast iron main case and a cast iron side cover had side cover bolt torque specs of 22 lb/ft.
