I can tell you that the 2937 body number lines up with that cars serial number when compared to other cars built close to it.
It falls right into sequence.

I loaned out my '63-'64 JG. Does it say anything about the timing of BLK vs. STD for Black Interior?

Also, I assume the top edge is folded over the bar...

Sydney. I know how to decode everything else on the trim tag with the exception of the Body number. How did you determine that the body number is in sequence with the vin number? Still learning. Thanks.

I've been compiling a list of 63's over the years and when comparing the body number of that coupe to others I have recorded near it I can determine that it falls into sequence.
I'm curious as to why you're questioning this trim tag? I'm still learning too!

Sydney,
I was just curious if the tag looked legitimate, if it may been removed, and if the rivets did not appear to be original. I am just very cautious when looking at these cars and the more information the better.
