With less than a full tank, the fuel gauge on my '70 flutters wildly on an almost continuous basis. With a full tank, it registers a steady 'F'.
Although it flutters wildly, the RMS of the needle's reading roughly matches actual fuel level.
What are the most likely causes of this?
I'm hoping it might be a bad ground somewhere.
