Great idea! They could be displayed with the 10,000+ 1967 435HP Corvette's. Maybe throw in a few Shriner's Corvettes also!

Bill Mock (mockauto.com) has the '67 owned by Neil Armstrong (1st man to walk on the moon). Asking price $ 1,072,069. finally had to give up and ask him how he came up with that $ figure. His reply:

'Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon on July 20, 1969. Therefore, $1,072,069.00 translated to digit "1" being the first man to walk on the moon, digits "07" is July, digits "20" is the 20th day and digits "69" is the year 1969'.

Roy Orbison's 1967 427 is now owned by Rick Hendrick. Beautiful vehicle. In fact, Mr. Hendrick owns 40 1967 427 Corvettes. Wow, must be quite a fellow.

Both '68 & '69 had the same front fender louvers. If you're asking about the silver inserts, they were a dealer supplied option.

Fender louver trim was a 1969 only factory option. TJ2 $ 21.10

Guys: Here is a cool picture of Bruce "The Boss" Springsteen with hsi first Corvette (that his Dad apparently won for him in a Poke Game). He's a neat guy and puts on a super show. I understand he has a 1963 now. Best, Ned
