54 Generator Mounting Bolt

The early 54 I'm working on uses two 5/16 x 1 1/2" bolts to attach the generator to the bracket which is attached to the engine block. However, the Corvette Parts Catalog dated June 1954 lists the attachment bolt as part number 809763 ( a "through" bolt sized at 5/16-18 x 7 7/78". I have photos from 1954 Vin's 1147 & 4273; both are survivors but I the extensive list of photos doesn't show the bottom generator bolt(s). I've attached a photo of my setup.

Does anyone know which is the correct mounting bolt(s)?

Typically they are TR or WB and they mount from the inside out

Chris,

There are two WB bolts on this engine and I think you are telling me they need to be turned around so the nuts and washers are on the outsides of the bracket.

Have you ever seen the generator installed using one long bolt as the 1954 Corvette Parts catalog indicates?
