    67 blower

The blower stopped working on my 67 AC SB coupe. I have replaced the blower motor, resistor and relay and still no blower. The fuse at the box is also good. Are there any hidden in-lines fuses that could be causing the problem? It seems the only thing left is the knob/switch.
    Thanks

        Hi Brad,

It sounds like you're not getting power to the blower. Did you check that?

There is no power at the blower motor. I am not sure how to find the breakdown. I thinking of taking the switch out and check for power there. It looks like there are four connectors on the switch. I assume one is power in and the other three are for different blower speeds. Any thoughts?
          Thanks

here is a few things. for factory AC cars the fuse for the heater is not whats listed on the fuse block. its a 30 AMP fuse. plus you have the 30 AMP inline fuse close to the horn relay.. second if you don't have a 12 volt test light go get one. then you can start finding out if you have 12 volts to the blower motor, and or at the fuse, and switch.

OK. I got a 12 volt tester. It turns out I have power to the blower motor on low and medium speed, but not high. I replaced the inline 30AMP fuse, which was bad. Still no high speed fan.
              Thanks for your help.

Then the high speed relay on the outside AC box is bad

I replaced the relay and resistor yesterday. Is there a way to tell which wire on the relay is the high speed one? I could check to see if power is coming out of the relay.

Check the switch. It might have toasted it as the 30 amp fuse was blown.

Do you know how I would check it since the low and medium speed work? Are the different connectors on the switch for different fan speeds?
                      Thanks

                        Brad,

Yes, the different wires go to the resistor for different speeds.

The information is in your wiring diagram or you can purchase the assembly manual from the NCRS store (maybe).

I was able to identify the wires on the switch from the wiring diagram. On low and medium both connectors on the switch show power. However, on high none of the connectors show power. Does this indicate the switch is bad?
                            Thanks

did you check the wires coming out of the relay on the out side AC box?
