Identify this block and stamp number

I recently saw this block at a friends shop.

Can anyone identify this and does it have a place in the Corvette community?

Obviously I know where it came from and the history.

Do any of you want to take a guess?

      Bingo Jim!

This engine was given to a High School Shop in Tennessee by GM.

A young man dropped a washer in the carb and the first time it was cranked (turned over) it locked up. Some small marks are on one of the pistons. It came complete with aluminum heads but only the short block still exists in my friends shop.

It would be nice to mate it to an automatic 1969 L88 that needs a motor. There is a great article in a recent Restorer about a long block L88 that was used for research at Hilborn.

That is rife with errors and mis-information.
