    C-4 Air filter ducting

I am having a problem with the large ducting that attaches to the air filter housing. No matter how I install the unit it comes off of the air filter housing. It only occurs on the drivers side of the filter housing. I have tried changing location of the large band that holds it to the filter housing. I am also looking for an original PF-25 black OEM oil filter and a date coded 1097C air filter (April 1990). Dirk Gaddis has beem searching for me but to date no joy.

The problem with these are the inside of the air duck is very smooth and some of the air boxes don't have much of a lip. Mine just barely hangs on. I've noticed some housings had what looked like a thin double sided tape going around the opening on the plastic housing. I noticed my air housing looked like it had this tape at one time by the outline around the opening. Not sure if this was factory or not.

Mirrock has a air filter up on eBay which is a little more than what I would like to pay but these are getting harder to come by.

I assume the oil filter your looking for is the factory black filter with a silver paper label. These are even harder to find although they are out there. They do pop up every so often.

Anyways I'll keep a lookout for you.

Ken I took your advise and placed a small portion of 3M two sided tape on the corner that keeps moving. I looked at it closely and found
the problem was, as the engine torques to the right it pulls the left side of the duct off of the housing. Real poor design.
