67' non AC dash bezels/plates; discrepancy??

I have a 1967 non AC vette that has the 4 dash bezels/plates for the knobs. I strongly believe mine are original; however, in rough shape so looking to order new ones. The 4 on my car are #1: Vol<-->Tone, #2: <--Tuning-->, #3: Air-Pull-Def, #4: Air Pull<--Fan-->. The problem i have is the one that says Air Pull<--Fan-->; which I believe is correct......however when I look at LIC or CC to order new bezels their bezel says Fan-Temp-Pull. Can anyone explain this??????

The Air Pull <Fan> is, according the the TIM and JG, for an AC car. The correct bezel for a non AC car should be Fan-Temp-Pull for the left knob. It is supposed to control fan speed as well as heater temperature output. The control on the right, Air-Pull-Def, should control the outside air to the heater as well as direct air to the defroster when fully pulled out. Others may be able to elaborate further.

Intersting...The Corvette Order Copy or build sheet that came off of the tank has no mention of AC. The car does not appear to have ever had AC. I'm wondering if at assembly they put the wrong bezel on? It's funny how strange things pop up as you restore a car???

It could have happened most anytime. Mine are currently backwards, the bezel for the fan is on the pull for the defroster, and vice versa. Oops-self inflicted when I had the heater core out for repair. It's an easy fix. If the knobs have been replaced (the chrome on the plastic tends to peel off) and the bezels were replaced, they could have inadvertently purchased the wrong bezel set for an AC car. Just a guess.

This does bring up an interesting question. When I replaced my control knobs, the replacements were metal as opposed to plastic which I believe to be original. I don't know of anyone rechroming the plastic or anyone retailing plastic knobs. It might be another thread.
