I looked at a '04 Z06 with 13.000 mls. Besides a decently scratched front bumper (probably by a clean park) the car is in good condition. However, one area - the rocker panel mounting in front of the rear left wheel looks a bit strange (see lower pic) as if there is a crack and its fix. Provided that I'm right - could this happened in the factory? Maybe a common issue during production? Looks as if the appropriate parts to fix it were right at hand (a yellow piece and a tiny, fitting metal shoe - to improve stability?).
Furthermore: Is the material of the panel prone to get water-soacked in case the paint is scraped off - as also can be seen? Should it be fixed before driving in rainy weather?
