What Engine is this?

My son is buying a 67 coupe big block. It has a/c, 4 speed, tri-carbs, side pipes and leather, etc. A real nice car, black w/red stinger. It has had a quality body off restoration (an older one). Believe it is a California car but I don't see any smog equipment. It runs, but believe it needs a good tune up and going over including those miserable Holleys. It does have TI.

So, what designation engine would this have - the big clue here is the a/c (factory, of course)??

According to the NCRS specifications it would be designated an JF engine code. That would be 400HP, 3X2, K19 and 4 speed.

Thank you Joe. I guess I'll look forward to doing a little work on it with my son, although I still have to get my 63 back on the road. Feel energized today.
