    1965 TIM & JG 6th edition - Operations - Errata?

Prepping an L76 Coupe for flight judging; working my way through Operations checks to #29, Windows, guide states:

"Electrically operated windows will not function with the ignition key in the off position."

My experience in and around C2 Corvettes, including my current car, is that this is not true of 1965's. Is it me or is the guide wrong? If the guide is wrong, are there other errors I should know about before making changes to my car?

Mike, I don't have a 65 wiring Dia. but the AIM should have it, It would be switched ignition from switch to circuit breaker if operation manual is correct, or maybe direct battery feed from Battery to circuit breaker, which sounds to me like that's is what you have . You can also email 65 Team leader if you do not get any other responses. Kasey is a great guy and willing to help anyone.

      Thanks, Ed.

I've done some further investigation and have it on good authority that this note regarding power windows not functioning with ignition switch in the OFF position - which did not appear in the prior edition of the JG - is most likely incorrect.

Just a heads up for anyone who may have been wondering

While the new edition of the 65 guide has much more info. than the previous one, there are still several mistakes.

The PV manual states the 63 thru 66 power windows operate with the ignition switch in either ACC, OFF, or ON position.

My 65 Coupe with PW passed PV with the windows operating as described.

This feature changed in 1967, most likely as a safety issue. The new 67 JG has this same verbiage, so perhaps it was "copied" in the 1965 JG.
