Photos are of original shocks purchased at the Pomona Swap Meet. Photo 1 is the paint store formula. Photo 2 - second shock carries its original paint. #1 shock is Home Depot mix that was applied with a brush because of my lack of latex equipment. You can solve that problem. Shocks 3 and 4 are a front and rear sprayed with paint store rattle cans. Photo 3 is the Home Depot Mix formula.

Re: ISO Shock Absorber Paint
Hi Loren,
Thank you for going to all the trouble and expense to provide this information. I can't really distinguish much difference between the colors in the attachment, what is your preference seeing them in the flesh?
Thanks again.- Top

Re: ISO Shock Absorber Paint
As a Certified Computer Illiterate, I had to get a friend to post the photos - he apparently couldn't locate the original thread. My apologies.
It should be added that the costs from the paint store for 2 rattle cans and about 4 oz in a pint can for an air brush was $48. Now with the formula, maybe it will be less. $18 for the quart can of latex from Home Depot.
I'm going to redo the latex and do the remaining original with the rattle can - my mind, at least, is telling me that I can see a tinge of blue that the Latex is not giving out.- Top
