1967 BB with power steering Alternator fan?

Did GM make an alternator fan differently for the power steering/ big block cars? In other words is there an alternator fan that is cupped in the opposite direction than the majority of the applications?

      George------

No, while there were several different fans used, they were all "cupped" in the same direction. That's because in "days-of-old" all alternators operated with the same rotational direction.

Joe, you're forgetting about the Corvair!!

Although to be serious, I highly doubt this is what the OP has since I don't think the belt would line up correctly with this pulley. Not only that, but on the Corvair, the fan and pulley were one piece.

George, can you post a picture?

Some Corvette alternator fans were a 1 piece pulley and fan assembly. GM #3909815 and 3909817 are two.

I didn't know that! Which Corvette applications used a 1 piece fan/pulley assembly??
