I am unable to locate the hi horn location or the right horn location on a 1971 non air LT-1. I have a 1972 with air, I was able to locate both horns, any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: 1971 right horn location
Phil,
While I can't confirm the number of horns for the 1971 Corvette models, the 1972 models have one horn (at least mine did). The original owner of my January, 1972 build Corvette had confirmed my Corvette only came with one horn (which he had promptly replaced with a louder sounding aftermarket horn). Fortunately, he had kept the original horn and gave it to me. Having said that, I understand that many people had opted to replace their single original horn or added an additional horn, as the single original horn was inadequate.

Re: 1971 right horn location
Phil,
I believe the 71's only came from the factory with one 'low note' horn from the factory. Part number 9000245. As a matter of fact single horns were standard thru 73. The right side (dual horn) became an option U05 in 1974. It was located on the passsenger side and was a ' high note' .

Re: 1971 right horn location
Phil, I agree with the above, according to the judging manual the 71/72 have only one horn. your 71 should be a 245 for and the 72 should be a 032 last 3 digits.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
