Very sad news indeed. We are all grateful for Noland's contributions to the hobby. Another huge loss.

A kind and generous person who I was very lucky to know.
      Rest in Peace old friend.
      Thanks Bruce,
I was so lucky to be a ''roaster'' and John Hinckley was our MC for the dinner tribute. We had a lot of fun that night.

I met Noland back in 2005 at the Florida Regional. He was a very nice man who gave everything to the hobby. RIP Nolan.

I first met Noland at the SACE (now SACC) national convention at Springfield, Ill. in 1991. He spotted my '61 Jewel Blue and came right over to introduce himself and talk about my Corvette. He will be missed.

Noland's passing marks the loss of a man with thousands of friends, as well as the end of his pain. He will be remembered each and every time that one of his reference books is opened by another newbie to the stuff of Corvette legends. RIP.

My copy of Noland's Vol II is well worn and tattered but, I still have it front and center, along with Vol I, in the book case.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Nolan but I knew him through his books and his love for our hobby. He was a bedrock of our community and will be greatly missed. My condolences to his family.

First met Noland at the San Mateo, California event in 1980. He offered to allow the longest distance attendee to drive his Split Window. What a generous offer. Very fond memories. A few years later on vacation with my wife, we attended a SACC (or was it SACE) event held in Port Ludlow, Washington state. At the club membership meeting Noland introduced me to the club members. It was unanticipated & I was a little embarrassed by his charitable introduction. A very gracious man.

His books will keep his contributions & knowledge alive. He was a tremendous asset to the Corvette.

Only one lament. Decades later at Carlisle; while alone together, I asked him why he was so absent from the organization he helped found as member #4. The consummate gentlemen: Noland respectfully declined to tell me why.

                                RIP Prayers for his family
