    C2 hardtop

The stainless trim on my hardtop is scratched. I don't want to take the whole top apart to remove the trim for polishing. Any tips on polishing the trim without taking everything apart? Posts on this forum say that the stainless is flash chromed.

    Thank you,

    Randy

Bite the bullet and take the stainless off!

And don't listen to everything you hear on the forum.

You have to take it apart it is not that difficult. you should do all the weatherstripping while you are at it

If you do decide to take it apart. Seriously think about NOS rubber for the front header and the rear bow. It's a bit more expensive but it will install much easier and quicker. The new repro rubber is too thick and does not fit all that well. I just did my 63 hardtop.
