    Replacement Brake Pads?

Have just finished reinstalling new trailing arms with new rotors on my 67.
About to reinstall the calipers and brake pads. The pads removed have about 80% pad remaining. Not sure if they are organic or semi metallic pads. Should I replace the pads with new, if so which pads for a non-power brake car.
Search review of old post and found AcDelco 17D8 pads recommended for Power Brake cars. Again this is a non-power brake cars and I am only doing the rear brakes at this time..

If the pads were worn "flat" , no grooves, then you could reuse them. However, you have invested in new rotors, so new pads aren't very expensive in the scheme of things......

Agree new pads. But which ones? Organic AcDelco or semi-metallic?
Notice some pads have the center expansion joint others do not.
Some are riveted some are bonded.
Which type belongs on a C2 Corvette?
Remember this is a non-power brake car.

          Ralph------

The 17D8 will work just fine on both power brake and non-power brake applications. These are an organic pad formulation as were the original pads. The original pads were actually the best but they've been unavailable for many years due to asbestos concerns.

By the way, have you checked the runout on these new rear rotors?
