61 Amp alternator

When did the 1100544 alternator go into production? I'm beginning a search for one. I have an early '72 and was wondering if it was used on any GM model before that. Thanks!!

It was used on my '71 that was built in mid-December 1970. My 1100544 alternator has a date on it of 0H5, or August 5, 1970.

The 1100544 alternator was used, starting in the 1971 model production year, to early in the 1975 model production year. I'm just guessing here, but I speculate the earliest 1100544 alternator would have a date in the July 1970 range.

Thanks, was just wondering how narrow the window was for getting one. Guess they're rare but my window is open. Unlike many other dated parts for my October '71 build '72. Very challenging. Thanks!!

Here are some photos of an NOS GM #1100543 [not for sale]. It would appear identical to an 1100544. This one was manufactured on July 2, 1970 (0 G 2)

The only other application I can find for it is 1971 International Harvester truck with optional 61 amp alternator. However, other than the part number, I expect the only difference between the 1100544 and other 61 amp alternators of the period is the clocking.
