GM or Delco shocks are no longer available for C1's. I think I'd go with KYB shocks. Use KG4503, front, and KG5562, rear. These are not expensive shocks---expect to pay about 35 bucks each. As a bonus, these shocks are configured very similar to the original shocks.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Welcome to your ownership of the 1957 corvette .
My ' 57 had a saggy butt with the original "grooved" leaf springs.
I switched out the spiral shocks with Monroe Sensa-track Gas charged Coilovers.
It raised the butt about 1 1/4 inches
