Valley Auto Bedford PA

Hi,

Has anyone purchased a Corvette from Valley Auto in Bedford PA? They have a Corvette on their website that I am interested in. Since I live in Utah I don't want to book an Airline ticket without doing some research on this Corvette only dealer. The information I have been able to glean from them has been a tad light for me. Any experiences good or bad would be appreciated.

Hi Jace,

Was there in the spring and I was only interested in one car. Told it was a nice car etc. Drove 6.5 hours and after about 30 minutes of looking it over, it wasn't up to my standards and I left without making an offer. They did have a slew of other Corvettes, but did not look at them. Owner was very accommodating as I came to look on a Sunday.

Contact the Pit Tri-State NCRS Chapter, Bedford is fairly close.

As always, different people will have different opinions. I bought a hardtop from them for my '62, and they could not have been more honest and helpful.

Hello Ara, I want to make one statement and not have a back and forth debate.
I read your posts against Valley Auto in multiple forums now. The 1st time you posted I read and studied it completely. It prompted me to do some research. My findings have lead me to a STRONG opinion.
You are wrong in most all of your statements, it boiled down to a buyer and seller disagreeing on a purchase, and it supports everyone's statement to have a knowledgeable person check out any purchase. You did not do that , you chose to inspect yourself, you made a decision not to purchase and that should be the end of the story.
Bottom line I believe Valley Auto is one of the most respected used car dealers in the business, I believe they go above and beyond to satisfy customers, much more than your typical used car dealer would do.
Remember our beloved corvettes are still used cars even though the junk value is high.

No offense taken, however brief response. If you had a seller confirm two pages of items in writing, like a smart lawyer would request, and not one single item was correct or accurate or functioning, you come to your own conclusion. When you have to hold the tank sticker hostage because your money wasn't refunded timely, you make certain conclusions. I am certain you know nothing about my experience with them, nor did you ever go over the representations that were made to me.
I am old enough to know I have been wrong a million times in my life, but I "kinda" know 67s. Not coincidental that many others have had similar dealings. I don't like to be lied to. Period. When due diligence is exercised pre-purchase, and things are not as stated, confirmed and affirmed, then you come to your own conclusions. These forums are full of Corvette addicts whom occasionally request opinions, like the OP here. You may not like my opinion for some undisclosed reason, but it's my opinion based upon personal experience with them. Regards, Ara
