Congratulations! 1965 396's are one of my favorites. In the summer of 1968 I was at a friend's gas station on Telegraph Rd. in Dearborn Michigan, he had just finished putting a clutch in one and the owner wanted to sell it. $1800.00. I didn't buy it, you are probably thinking I must have been brain dead and you would be correct. From what I can remember it was silver (faded), black interior, knock offs and side exhaust.

I have one also. Interested to know if (when you look under the body) can you see a lump of "hand applied" bondo or body sealer. This was done to fill the antenna hole on mine. It never ever had a radio. I suspect most of the bodies, if not all, had the antenna hole before this in plant repair.

Note: It might be visible on the top side, depending on how old your paint job is. Thanks!

Sweet Ride Mr. Smith !!! I love the color.. and the wheels. Looks like you have room for one more Corvette in that garage of yours. C1, Maybe?? Lets not let that empty space go to waste.
