Correct me if I'm wrong but are the armrests and ebrake cover gray-ish in color and NOT pace silver like the seats, visors, interior trim etc.......does anyone know if the 82 gray is a good match? I am concerned that repro armrests dyed (painted) pace silver will be way off. The rattle can pace silver dye I have would not match at all. It seems all the repros available list pace silver as a color but I think that is incorrect unless their pace silver is gray. I don't think that is the case. Has anyone replaced their armrests?? Thanks

Yes! Actually the color is smoke gray and last time I checked...no one matches the color. I took an armrest to a local automotive paint shop and they matched the color and produced a quart of interior paint for me. This is also the same color used on the seat belt hinge covers. I have some pictures somewhere...I'll have to dig around for them but will post. I used an airbrush to apply and was pleased with results...except I did not leave them wet enough so the texture tends to be rough compared to an original finish...more wet!
Seems to me I found it too dark...but don't recall. Try it. And yes Pace Car Silver is way off. I judged a Pace Car whose interior was "touched up" and becomes rather apparent it is out of place. He said this is what Mid-America sent him...yeah ok. I painted my armrests and once installed, the color match is so close, it will be indistinguishable from original........does anyone know if the 82 gray is a good match?
