C1 Rear window channel. What type of glue?

    C1 Rear window channel. What type of glue?

    A little advice please, I got both channels out of both doors and want to put in new felt (which I have), what kind of glue?

    Ed, I used Loctite spray adhesive, which worked well. But almost any spray adhesive would probably work.

    I don't know what you are using for felt, but the felt our suppliers have specified in the past are for the mid-year windows that don't have a metal frame. That felt is too thick and the glass will not slide freely in it. Before you glue it, slip it in dry and make sure the glass will slide up and down it freely. Follow Rich's procedure. He has it down to pat.

          Ed, Rich's procedures cover all aspects of the window rebuild. I don't know how anybody could do this without his blow by blow descriptions. There are more supplier problems than just the rear channel felt. I was at wits end with my 57 until Rich published his procedures. He hit every problem I encountered and had solutions for of them. The door fuzzies are particularly interesting and you will love doing them.

          I see he has sent you an e-mail which probably has a link to his procedures. Good Luck - and don't give up. It's just a learning experience.
