    Geoff------

I saw this coming more than 40 years ago. That's why I started collecting new GM and NOS parts. It became kind of an obsession, though, and all rationality went out the window a long, long time ago.

I share your frustration. Can you recommend a source for a reliable heater core that won't leak (other than NOS) ?

If you still have your original a radiator shop can re-core it using your original tanks. It cost more than Chinese replacement but it will fit and not leak!

I don't know if you'll be disappointed, or not.

However, if it turns out you are, finding an NOS switch should not be difficult. This same switch was used for MANY GM applications and there are usually a fair number of NOS examples available for sale on eBay and elsewhere. GM #1995096.
