My power brake line has two bends in it, and is missing the bracket. I was thinking about replacing it, but all of the ones I have seen just have one bend. My car is a July 18, 1970 build date and not sure if that matters. I would attach a photo but it won't let me do this via my iPad.

It is my January 29 built car, but the PB vacuum tube is probably correct for a later 1970 SB.Terry- Top

Re: 1970 power brake line
Apparently the iPad app won't let you attach on the opening post but on the replies it will, in theory. This is the one that I have currently and wasn't sure if difference between early, mid and late run cars. Well maybe it won't let me. I guess I'll attach it tomorrow from my PC.- Top

Re: 1970 power brake line
I should have remembered it is a BB. That could make all the difference. I'll have to check my files at home for pictures, or perhaps someone has a 1970 fat motor with PB that they can help with.Terry- Top

Re: 1970 power brake line
Terry and Mathew-----
I have conflicting information on this. The AIM says that LT-1, LS-5, and LS-6 (which did not exist for 1970) used pipe assembly GM #3981090 and other engines used GM #3973470. So, if this is how it actually was, then the LT-1 and LS-5 pipe assemblies ought to be the same.
GM parts information says different. This says that SHP 350, 454 (i.e. LT-1 and non-existent LS-6) used the GM #3981090 whereas EXCEPT SHP 350, 454 used the GM #3973470.
Which do I think is correct? The GM parts information.
By the way, either of the above have a single bend. The only difference is the location of the attached bracket. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I should also have mentioned that the 1971-72 pipe for base engine and LS-5, GM #3989025, did have two bends, including a 90 degree bend at the fitting end.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
