Is he still around? I know he lived in Sedona, AZ. at one time and I lived there from 1998-2012 but never ran into him.

Yes, John is still around. As one of the founding fathers of the NCRS and editor of "The
Restorer" for such a long time he deserves our highest respect.

I believe that one answer is that John is not active (per definition) in the hobby; however I think that he still has some passion for it. John actually moved to Minnesota for a short time before he went back west. I believe this was due to the insurance or health care set up for his son.

He will be in Laughlin; rumors abound also about the presence of Bill ChevyGraft of Lowbuck TX and other grizzled, sun-baked Looney Tunes vets who remember as far back as when Howard financed the printing run of the Corvette Restorer....bring your story-telling hat......

Bill C, now that brings back memories, got some stories from Vegas from the road tours to Reno & Bend but as we all know, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. By any chance are John Smart or Sheldon Massy going to show up?

"Graft" might apply to something like a chopped top red Surban with 8" Windows and 502 blown rat plus 4 speed of tranny and an Assistant District Atty as Bill's chauffeur. With 2.73 rear go figure the top end. This rig ran a Power Tour and at least part of one NCRS Road Tour. Have another story on VIN on the truck, but that's a tale for another time .
