c-4 rack and pinion

the pair of hoses from the power steering pump to the rack and pinion mount inboard on one, and outboard on the other hose. i'm installing a 86 front suspension in my daughter's 50 chevy convertible and need to know whether the inboard or outboard location is for the high pressure hose. thanks, mike

Here's a drawing I found that may answer your question. According to the article this should cover 84 to 87 C4.

thanks ken. your illustration indicates the high press line runs to the outboard location on the rack and pinion.. mike

this illustration must be a 88-up c-4 as the hoses here run front to rear, whereas the 87 rack's hoses run nearly left to right. thanks again, mike
