    C2 Front Sway Bar Installation

Just finished installing the front sway bar on my 67 Corvette and got to thinking, is lubrication needed between the rubber bushings and sway bar.
Seem to remember someone saying no lubrication is required but an old Corvette magazine suggested lubrication between the bar and rubber bushing.
    Which is correct?

No lubrication is required or should be applied. The bar is supposed to grip the bushings tightly, not move within the bushings.

If you left it natural, as it left the factory, you should consider shooting it with some matte clear. It will prevent the bar from rusting and still look fresh. Just my two cents...>ARA

Also, like other suspension bushing bolts, both the pillow block bolts and link nuts should not be torqued until the car is at normal ride height. Check your AIM for link nut torquing instructions. It probably says to run the nut to the end of the thread. Of course, that assumes you have OE equivalent link bolts, bushings, and retainers.

          Thanks for the replies.
Did not add any lubricant and did NOT torque any bolts.
Plan is to roll the car in the driveway a little then torque bolts.
