65 interior touch up spray paint

Does anybody have any experience with vendors of an interior touch up spray paint that is fairly correct in color and sheen ? I have a 65 with maroon interior ( original interior ) that has a few minor scuff marks near the ignition switch and around the glove box. I bought a can from L.I., but it appears to a shade lighter as well as being too flat and doesn't have the sheen that is on the dash. To be original to the car, the dash pads are in very nice condition and I hate to have to replace them if I can find a touch up color that doesn't stand out like a sore thumb.
Any suggestions are certainly appreciated !

I took the old Ditzler code for my 66 dark blue interior to a auto paint supply store that still sells PPG acrylic lacquer. They mixed me a quart without any flattener, and gave me the flattener in a separate can.

Some previous owner had painted the interior black, some I didn't have anything to Match. But I am happy with the sheen and color. We painted the Glossy trim with no flattener, then flattener for the lower windshield trim.

I see. If I can't find a decent spray can for touch up, I'll try what you did. One would think someone is producing touch up paint that matches the factory interior color.
      Thx Don !

John, If you are touching up scratches in the dash pads, you will need interior dye. You will probably need to dye the entire pad to get an undetected repair. The paint codes are for the fiberglass and metal items. They were the only "painted' items in the interior. These colors won't match the vinyl since those soft items are molded in color and weren't the same shade as the painted items.

          Try..... http://www.apstowerpaint.com/

I used their saddle dye and lacquer for the interior of my 63. They have the color codes. Car judged fine with no deducts on interior shade or color. I used the lacquer on the metal and the dye on everything else.

I misread you post, didn't notice you were talking about you dash pads. You can also try Corvette America. I bought dark blue dye from LIC and Corvette America and they were different bit sheen and color

Yea Donald, the can I bought came from L.I. It's too flat and a bit lighter in color than the pad color itself. Did the dye you got from C. America
have a tad bit more of a satin sheen than the dye from L.I. ?

I dyed my black sun visors with either the LI or the Corvette America dark blue dye. I can't remember which one now that I used, but the sun visors definitely have a sheen and are not flat.

Hi John. A few months ago I used automotivetouchup.com and bought a couple rattle cans to paint the interior rear window trim for our '66 coupe (bright blue interior). It is a great product and a great match. You can dial right in for your year, color code, etc.
