C3 T top harness loop screws

My 71 was missing the loops (3 pcs) that the T top hold down harness clips into. The one I purchased don't seam to have the right threads for the center loop (the one that faces forward between the seats. The AIM book calls out a screw part number
942205 but can't find any info on the thread, looks to be smaller than the ones that come with the replacement loops. Does anyone know what those screws should be ?

It's what I call a sheet metal thread. It is not a machine screw in either NF or NC thread. Same as most of the interior finish screws.

I tried a 10-24 vs the 10-32 screws that came with the new loops, that answers the question as to why they won't work.
