C2 speaker -- black wire to where ?

Got this off eBay. Black wire was disconnected and want to know where to re-connect. I suspect that it's about where I show it sitting, on the bracket edge, which shows signs of previous solder application. Opinions ? This C2 Corvette speaker design is different than anything else offered for other GM models in the same timeframe, insofar as the the wiring schematic shows the output transformer mounted on the speaker, which is different.

Wiring schematic shows 10 ohms for the voice coil ?, and 1.5 ohm on that transformer. Is that right ?

Where you have it is correct except move it to the opposite end by the lump of soldier. (To the right in the pic.) It should be connected to the bare wire coming out of the transformer.

Connection shown in photo. I hope you can do a better job of soldering than the person who did the job on your speaker.......

        Russ,
A black wire is usually ground. Check that out especially when mounted on a glass car.
