What is the configuration and size of the belts for a 1971 LT-1 with P.S, and not the H.Duty 4sp. trans. Also what pulleys are used Thanks in advance, Phil

BELTS:


alternator------------GM #3847704 or GM #3847702----------52-1/2" X 3/8" (encircles alt.,waterpump, balancer pulleys)

AIR pump------------GM #3881872 or GM #3883252----------32-3/4" X 3/8" (encircles AIR pump and waterpump forward pulleys)

power steering-------GM #3848255 or GM #3940992----------43-1/2" X 15/32" (encircles p/s pump, waterpump and balancer pulleys)

Of the above pulleys and belts only the GM #3858533 balancer pulley remains available from GM. All others are GM-discontinued.

By the way, except for the deletion of the AIR pump, belt and forward waterpump pulley, the above belt and pulley system is the same as 1971 base engine with power steering and without C-60.
