I just bought a 1955 corvette sight unseen in N E Pa. I've been looking for a good 55 project for years. Don't come here very often so don't know how to post pix. It appears tp be harvest gold with 8700 miles last driven in De in 1970. Looks to be unmolested and orig paint and interior but it has been in storage for at least 46 years. I will see the car next Monday but looks to be a good starting place.

Congratulations Ron!! By looking at your bio, the '55 appears to be one of the few C1 or C2 that you haven't owned yet...outstanding. Where in Texas do you live?

what color is the interior? harvest gold cars did not have white tops. the rim in the the pictures almost appears to be copper.

A Vietnam buddy went to high school with the owner. He knew I was a corvette/car guy so when his buddy passed he put me in contact with the daughters. A local atty/appraiser gave the numbers and I decided to gamble on the car.

I think the car is complete less correct steering wheel and a couple of rims. Motor is orig. I am getting a bunch of parts, intake, carb, air cleaner, curtain bags etc. I'm in the car for $26,000.00 so with a little luck I can make a good car out of it.

Yes I noticed that, I am getting my info from a non vette guy so not sure. There is odd colored paint around vin tag that does not look like it has been redone. But the work if done is nearly 50 years old.

Off topic, but kudos on the ranch and car collection. Very impressive indeed. Would love to see it in person.

I love barn finds, but never got lucky enough to find a good one.

Got some new pix today, you might be correct! Look at peel on fender by headlight and around hood surround could be a bronze car one of 15?
