The correct shifter can be found at Volunteer Vette 1 865 521-9100 or you can just purchase the shaft for a 64-67 SH006, 68 and up shifters have longer shafts but the lower end is the same on all thru 81.

The stock shifter handle did not have an adjustable height IIRC.

I don't remember seeing anything about adjustable shifter height. Maybe you saw something about the short / long throw settings that can be changed.

I was aware that the 68 up shifter was taller than the mid years.

Just out of interest what is the actual difference in height?

Why did GM make it longer, that just increases the throw?

the angle that a c-3 shifter handle/shaft leaves the shifter main body also differs from that of a c-2 shifter.mike
