Just a quick note for those of you interested in changing out lighting to more efficient lamps. I just converted 12 8' T12's to LED and couldn't be happier. Very easy conversion, no fixture change required, remove the ballast and wire 120vac to the tombstones and install the lamps. Took me about 15-20 min per fixture. They are brighter and should work great in cold weather. As long as the Chinese wiring in lamp is good they should out live me. Picked them up at eledlamps online and had them in 2 days.

Re: Connverted to 8' LED's
Gary,
Which bulbs?
Looking at lighting for my new pole barn, and the electrician quoted a lot more for LEDs vs T8s.

Re: Connverted to 8' LED's
Pat
I have only 9' ceiling in my garage so I used their premium lamps and they are fine.
40watt 4500 lumens this is base level lamp, they show 3 more higher output and wattage.
Also I converted over using the existing 8' fixtures so if you have to buy a complete fixture it would be more. If you have any lighting then it's not too bad, I have a lot of 4' 4 lamp T8 fixtures here too and maybe I'll look at converting those.- Top
