Yes, new whiskers (the inside window seal) is part of their service.

Using original door panels, AK removes the skin and underlying foam, repairs the fiberboard as needed, then uses a ther****rming (or maybe vacuum forming; don't remember) process to add new foam and skin. The process is similar to how the panel was originally produced.

Not a "cop" here but I've seen many words that vBulletin doesn't consider "proper".

        Was the word you used.... t h e r m o f o r m i n g ??? The naughty word is embedded but they still caught it.

Another one of them is: t******* .... t r i m m i n g ..... Why that one? I have no idea. (Oh, I get it now. hmmm, yes that could be naughty to some)

Spaces between the letters of the bad words are a workaround, so they're really not that clever, are they.

Got it. This is an example of how using a computer for removing taboo words sometimes leads to the ridiculous. 1984

Mark, I see that Corvette America still sells skins maybe they will also install as Al did. I live in Pa.

Since CA was acquired by "Restoration Parts Unlimited" their quality and desire for accuracy has gone downhill.
The previous (original?) owner made a big push to improve parts in the 5-8 years prior to the sale.

I think the same happened when RPU bought Trim Parts.

Hello Mark - I sure would like to see some pics of the recovered OEM door panels (if possible - backside, too).

                Thanks in advance.

They're installed, so too late for photos of the back. The backs look original except sections of original backing that was repaired, and fasteners for trim.

The front of the panels would be hard to distinguish from original... other than the color: 1970 light saddle isn't quite right. Black should not be an issue. Surface texture is ok.

Window seals and their staples look good to me, but I haven't studied them closely.
