Wow that is great, and with all the right colors. Better than my pencil sketch. Thank you Dave.
I think I'll use it in my article.

      Re: Database of Restoration Documents

Just to say after following this thread and some of the others regarding research, etc...

I'm admittedly not a car show or awards kinda guy, and I've mostly been a lurker around here especially lately since I've been distracted away from my play cars for a while...but I wanted to say that I still find my membership to the NCRS to be a great thing. The information shared, the pics, the discussions, the stories, the experienced knowledge...I feel like I've gotten to know some regulars even though I've never met them personally...and sadly hearing of the passing of our Corvette pioneers and better understanding their contributions.

Anyway, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who is participating in this and other preservation, documenting, and publishing of invaluable data. Really good stuff.

Any luck Richard. I'm not a iPad tech so I can't help, but it may be the way the links are displayed in the post.

Terry, I just tried a few things, no go. Looks like one at a time. I could try emailing to you but no time right now heading to TX this AM.

Thank you for that Jack. Nice to know all of the folks here that do this is appreciated. Since I started this thread I've been getting many notes with more info and data. I think I'm gonna be busy.

            Re: Database of Restoration Documents

            Rich,

I have been working with Dave Zuberer on the 67-68 signal switch schematic, and here is the final revised version for your database:

The revisions from the previous post above is mainly in the wire color designations and wire colors within the switch. As the repros as well as the original have different colors or striping internally and in the switch harness, we made the colors in the schematic the same colors as the wire harness and the input/outputs at the harness connector. I think this will make it easier to trace the circuits in troubleshooting. We also put Dave's name on the schematic.

I'll be incorporating this schematic in my future Restorer Story, along with some history of the switch and my trials and tribulations, troubleshooting the switch, removing and installing, and with some recommendations to the repro manufacturers.

Replace the previous color schematic with this one in your archives. The pencil version is still good.

              Rich & Terry--
I was able to highlight, copy & paste both lists you've presented into a Microsoft Word .docx document. Then, holding the Ctrl key which enabled the fingered hand cursor, I could open the individual files just as I could in the original lists posted here. Hope this helps.

We have a Sticky for old photos, so maybe we can have a Sticky now for this too?

                    Re: Database of Restoration Documents

This is great - but.... I spend hours every quarter going through chapter news letters looking for tech articles that are relevant or of interest to me. I have suggested before, that chapters tech article authors or newsletter editors send their tech articles in to the NCRS for archiving. My suggestion was not favorably received, for good reason. The issue is cost, as in who is going to pay for all the work that would be involved in first creating and then maintaining such a file? Well, I have another suggestion...... I would be more than happy to pay a modest annual subscription fee, say $20, in order to have access to all the PDFs sent in and catalogued by year or title. There is so much good tech info out there - invaluable to us and oh do they ever save time and money.

With so much unpublished knowledge out there I foresee a huge amount of documents so a section like Forums might be justified including a directory.

                                Great work Gerard

                                Gerard Fuccillo (42179);807749]Rich,

Yes, I'm the originator of the schematic. I drew it out of frustration in trying to figure out the problems with this Boyne switch.
You'll seen a number posts in the archives on it under my name and It's all in the Cam. Here's one that doesn't have the pictures lost:
                                https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...=Signal+Switch

I had intended to do a Restorer Story on it, but you probably know how it goes when you are having too much fun.
I'll put it together within the next year, promise[/QUOTE]
