Wow Thank you very much for organizing them. They are much easier to use now.

      You're welcome, Bill.
I wish there was a cleaner way I could attach a file that has grid borders and active links (like I have in Excel) so it would be even easier to read and use...
      thx,
      Mark

Well, with COVID apparently not going away soon, I've had some time on my hands and did some organizing of the links in this entire string.

I extracted all of the links (pretty sure I got all of them) - and also extracted all the links from the MAC Chapter site that Ed provided above and inserted them into one Excel file.

There were quite a few duplicate links (many with different file names, too). Anyhow, I eliminated nearly 50 duplicates and what remains is presented below. Some may still appear as dups, but sometimes there were slightly different versions, so if they didn't look smack-dab identical to me, I left them in there.

I added a column for "Key Words" to organize "like topics" as I saw them together - others may prefer different Key Words, but that can be "left to the reader" as they say…I also added a column for "C" generation - and entered "Multiple" if more than one might apply.

This is sorted by the "Key Word" Column - and those are all links in the far right hand column.

give me your email and I can send you the Excel Spreadsheet which presents this in much better fashion.

Don't know if this is what you were thinking, but here it is for your consideration.
        Lemme know what you think…

        thx,
        Mark
Mark, Your efforts to do this resulted in a great result. Excellent work. The Keywords and C generation additions will be much easier to follow.

        Very much appreciated

        Rich
PS I'll send you a email.

What a tremendous effort on your part for all of us...very much appreciated. If you could e-mail me a copy of your Excel file, I would be very thankful. Again, great job!!

            Thank you..appreciate your comments.
If you shoot me your email, I can send this to you.
I'm fairly new to TDB procedures and I'm not sure how I can attach an Excel file to the email that pops up when I click on your name...
            thx,

Mark, You cannot add document or image attachments from your device via our website PM or EMAIL system. As you and I did earlier, I sent you Email via the site so you could see mine and reply with the files. It adds on extra step but it's the only way to do it via the vBulletin software.

I guess I am doing something wrong. Are you suppose to be able to download all these links ans/or articles to your computer? If so could you explain how that is down.

                    Terry,

If you click the word "HERE" in the post above, it will take you to Post #45 (or, you can just go there manually).
Once there, scroll down to the red font, where you will see this note from Rich Mozzetta:

Edit: 8/18/2020 Please see Attached PDF ( Restoration Documents.pdf‎). It has the same file list as below and all file links are functional. Note when you download and open the file locally, you must remain logged in to the TDB to access and download the files to your computer/device for the files that reside on the NCRS site. Some files are linked to other sites.

You can access your documents either by clicking on Restoration Documents.pdf which downloads that file to your computer (mine shows it in the lower left hand tray, which you can then open and click links in there); OR,

You can simply scroll down thru the list in post #45 that follows the red font note above and just click on the link you want in the far right-hand column.

As mentioned above, you have to stay logged into TDB for this to work...

                    Hope this helps...thx, Mark
                    thx,

Terry, Are you asking how to download ALL of the files in the list at once? I remember you asking about doing that in the past. I'll answer based on that.....There's no direct way to get all at one shot but just yesterday I was searching and I did find this "Batch Link Downloader" for Google Browser. HERE
I haven't tried it yet but when I get time I'll see if it works. If it does it may be what you're looking for. It would be very handy to be able to download all files at once. As of right now it's only one at a time.

If I got it wrong, sorry, and I see Mark just replied too. Yes you can just click on any link for the file you want and it'll download. Another method is right-click the link and a dropdown will appear, left-click "Save As" or facsimile based on which browser you have.

When I'm on a smartphone I just tap the link of the pdf resto document I want and it downloads to my phone. This comes in very handy when I'm away from home and I can get the info right there at my fingertips.

Mark and Rich. You both need a metal for such work and dedication to the hobby. And the authors of each document are included also. Hopefully around the campfire we can make a toast in PALM SPRINGS 2021.

                          Hi Mark,

Could you change the Excel file extension to PDF or something that the board accepts then post it here? Maybe add Excel or XLSX to the file name?

                            Joe,

Posts #45 and #54 have the link to download the pdf file “Restoration Documents” + Post #45 has the full list with the individual links as well.

If you change the file extension without actually going thru a file format conversion, the resulting file functionality will disappear.

                            Hope this helps

                              Mark,

Maybe I didn’t explain it very well, but here is what I am suggesting. In Windows, open Windows Explorer and find the file. Let’s say for example the name of the file is index.xlsx
Rename it to index_change_me_to_dot_xlsx.pdf or some other file extension the board allows. After the person on the other end downloads it, they would change the name back to index.xlsx

So that way there is no translation going on, should work like a charm.

                                Hi Joe,

Interesting. I tried this on my desktop and it worked. Renamed an Excel file to a pdf extension. Tried to open it and got the "unrecognized file format" error (as I anticipated). renamed it back to an xlsx extension as you suggested above and it opened.

However, Rich is right in the middle of re-working this entire post, so he currently has version-control over what info will be used.
So, I think he will be the guy from now on posting whatever the latest, most-up-to-date version is.

But, thanks to you, I learned something today! thx, Mark
                                thx,
