Gary------
The GM #342715 is the correct fan blade for your application. Your description of the fan blade assembly you have is exactly consistent with the 342715. In fact, I know of no other fan blade assembly which has the rectangular "notch" on each blade.
The original fan clutch for your application was GM #343721. The fan clutch that Patrick linked in his post is the current replacement for the original fan clutch and is virtually identical to it. The primary visual difference is that the original clutch had only 4 bolt holes in the flange while the current version has 8 holes (so it can be used for both small and large hub bolt patterns). These fan clutches also happen to be the best performing fan clutches ever installed on a Corvette. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Scott------
It will work without any problems or modifications on any 1971-82 Corvette. Pre-1971 will require the use of a 1971+ fan blade + a 5/8" to 3/4" bushing for the pilot (bushing is often supplied with the fan clutch). In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
