    Goat Hills

    After a few months with no communications I had given up on these guys. I received a box with a correct water pump with pulley and balancer. All in nice condition. I did not get my coil but got note that it is on "back order". I may owe them an apology!

      Why do you feel you need to apologize for THEIR lack of communication? I've been going round and round with one of the largest Corvette vendors for the last couple months with no end in sight.

          the 086 coils have been on "back order" from goat hill for close to 3 1/2 years!

              The thing I don't understand about this is that, as far as I know, Goat Hill is the manufacturing source for these coils. So, I don't understand how their use of the term "back order" is applicable. So, I guess what they mean is that they have not gotten around to manufacturing them for 3+ years even though they are, apparently, out of stock. That begs the question, why?

                      Why? Probably not a large number of 086 are needed and the extra expense of cadium plating the coil. the 086 coils that goat hill was producing looked like the finish on a tin can. I was buying the coils from Pronesti, who got his coils from goat hill. when I complained about the finish Pronesti was good enough to have the coils cadium plated. When I contacted Goat Hill, the new coils were to have the proper finish.
