The bylaws can be changed and, on more than one occasion, the board discussions have included a list of good reasons (including some already mentioned in this thread) why the schedule should be shifted one way or the other. The major reason continually given to keep the schedule as it is has been the 'family vacation' mindset that seems to override all other considerations. If you can come up with something that will move the 'family vacation' off the holy grail of convention scheduling, then contact your regional representative and see if he/she is willing to present it to the board for a change to the bylaws and implementing a new schedule for national conventions. Anything is possible if you can make a compelling case for it.................
How many ''families with children'' attend the Conventions thesis days. I am a 75 old GEEZER, and think many members fit my age group. Our kids are now 40-50 and don't attend. I am just curious.

Come on Jim. Can't you order your kids to attend? And tell them to bring their kids too.

Well if this is a poll, as a 68 year old geezer, none of mine have ever attended a national, and we take summer family vacations where there is some fishing.....but my kids have attended several regionals when they are in the cities where they live, and enjoyed them.

Hi Jeff, according to my approved registration, the cars must be in the staging lanes for intake to the show on July 15 prior to 5pm. It would be our goal to have the truck arrive @ the convention center on July 15 or possibly on July 14 when the trailer parking opens. If you want to chat further for transportation, give me call on the cell.

          Thanks,
          Dan

I would assume that the cars will be in the staging lane by 5 pm. Sit outside over night then the flight Operations Judging would happen the next morning. After Operations they would go inside.

If anyone is still looking for a carrier, the next Driveline and the President's column in The Restorer announce that Reliable Carriers is the preferred carrier for NCRS and the convention this year. If you advise your vehicle is going to the convention in Las Vegas, I believe special pricing will kick in.

I'm hearing a rate of about $1.00 a mile is being changed.

Mark, I see that you have been a member for some time. NCRS has held the National in all parts of the USA and Canada. Tuesday of the National in Windsor was 52 degrees. You should try a Road Tour, you will have a great time.
