    1972 superheat switch

What is the function of the superheat switch? I believe it works in conjunction with the compressor, but what do I know.

Any thoughts, help or comments will be appreciated.

If the temperature of the compressor gets too hot, the switch grounds causing the fuse to blow which shuts off the compressor clutch.

Search "superheat" for other threads with more details. Many CSMs have a narrative describing its function as well.
