'62 shifter question

Attached are some photos of the B/W shifter that was hung on the Muncie trans that was living in my '62 since I bought it 40 years ago. It appears that the reverse lever is shorter than what would be on a shifter for a C1 so I'm thinking this might be a shifter for a '63???

Are the other levers correct?
Does the spring by the mounting bracket look unusual (I thought it was just an exposed spring)?
Is this even a shifter for a Corvette?

Here is my stock 61 shifter off the BW tranny. Yours looks like the shaft from the "hypodermic needle" finger bars to the shifter ball looks longer and yes that outboard spring at the bottom is different..

Jerry,
Looks like yours is a pieced-together unit. Generally you would expect the tubular cover over the spring to be on a 3-speed shifter.

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I'll be looking for a nice '62 shifter now.
Are all C1 4 speed shifters the same?
Although I'd rather have an original, has anyone had any luck with the repo shifters offered by the major dealers?

57-58 don't have the reverse lock out.
