Tilt tele steering column

group 6514 part # 7808505 : will this part , which my parts book lists as appropriate for a 69-70 corvette steering col, be a part of a 1978 corvette tilt/tele col? years ago i built a 57 chevy extended cab, dually and i picked up a 78 vet col at carlisle. its now got a lot of play in the col, making it dangerous to drive. if 7808505 is used in the 78 col, does anyone know of a source for this "shaft center sphere" ? thanks, mike

Mike, according to the P&A, you need a 7805258 like THIS ONE on ebay.

The reason I asked (and for some reason my reply is now gone!), is that the 7808505 shows that 2 are required but the 7805258 shows that only one is required. Not sure why. Maybe a redesign of the column? I'm curious if you have 1 or 2 of them in the column.
