Yes you can. Not always advisable though.

I agree with Dan, the chapter Judges will catch all the easy fixes as well. And give you and idea on what to fix dollar(s) to point value.

Depending on the chapter member capabilities the evaluation can be at regional and nation level expectations.

Thank you Gents; I'll go to the Chapter first.

I think I read in the minutes of National Board meetings in the current Driveline that there is a proposal out there to require a Chapter Flight before Regional is allowed. This is only in the discussion stage, the thought is to get more cars at Chapter Meets. Don H.

I would go through the operation section really well and have a good understanding of how each item works. Some items carry a 25 point deduction. This can add up in a hurry and you haven't gotten to the judging yet. If an item performance is questionable then fix it. Check several times, as gremlins do appear on the day of judging. The operation section is in the judging manual, or you can downloaded one from this site.

I agree with Gary; operations points add up in a hurry. And don't depend on the fact that something worked before you left home. I have seen too many bulbs that jarred loose or wires come unattached in transport. Check everything once again when you get to the event.

Agree, and take easily replaceable spares and hand tools and hope you don't need them--- and watch for school zones!

Mike, I think the suggestion is to test again prior to Operations Judging then fix what is required. Just don't test it on the judging field.

It was the "school zone" reference that threw me, since all those infamous Texas Regional PVs that are run through those school zones.......
