Gentlemen, here are a couple of questions from a non-mechanical guy that's learning.
First, correct power valve: My 66 327/300 auto pulls 20# Hg at idle/in gear. I've read all the archived material discussing what is the correct PV. If you divide the vacuum by 2, you end with a PV of 9.5. Many of the respondents in the archives are firm in their thoughts of a PV 6.5. Others are at the 9.5 value. There is a 6.5 currently in the carb. Is this PV OK or do I need to go the 9.5?
Second question: Is there any sealant used on the two gaskets that are between the intake manifold and the carburetor? I think not, but a can't find a source that says yes or no.
Thanks,
Ken
