Anybody have a 1979 with D80 option or 1978 Pace Car, front air deflectors (pace car style spoiler) installation instructions on how where to drill the holes for the installation of the OEM drivers and passenger front side deflectors. The only installation information I have found shows how to install but lacks any measurements to know where or what size the holes need to be on the car. I believe I read that the Pace Cars were shipped without the front spoilers, so I would guess the dealership would have to drill holes to attach the factory front spoilers. This attached instruction which probably comes from the 1978 AIM doesn't detail the size or location (measurements) of the holes needed to properly install the front side deflectors. Thanks!

Re: 1979 Front OEM Air Deflectors (D80) Installation
Hi Tom,
I am still battling with the location to drill the holes for attaching the OEM front side deflector. Read your article and the photo of the front without the spoiler attached is invaluable. If you can open my attachment I am struggling with the drill location for the main attachment bolt (marked in RED as "A") There aren't many reference points to measure from but as you have the spoiler off, could you tell me what the measurement is from the edge of the fender wheel well opening to the center of the hole "A"??
Short of having a template I need to just take measurements and go from there I guess.
Thanks,
Edward

I have photos and, actually an article in Vinnie's Corvette Restorer bin, that describes this process.
