    1965 Power Brake Conversion

I'm in the process of doing a complete frame off on my '65 coupe and I'm looking for any / all recommendation or suggestions on what is the "best" recommendation to convert my manual brakes to power brakes. Would it be better/easier to "just convert" to the '65 power brake system or would it be better to convert to the '66 power brake system (w/larger brake line, etc). Is the '66 power brake system better than the '65s? And if it is, could the '66 long frame line be installed on top of the frame (like the '65)??
Any insight, recommendations photos, etc. are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Why use the 66 system when the 65 parts are all available. Are you going with the correct 1000 dollar master cylinder? Or the 67 on up?

The "best" way to go is just an opinion.
If it were me, I'd use what's correct for the model year.
Like has already been mentioned, the parts are available.

Power disc on 65 Corvette is overkill, unless you have a drum brake car.

But if a driver why not twin master cylinder like 67. Brake lines and routing would be different 65 compared to 67. I have drums with power on my 65 with stock 64 type master cylinder. But just as a bit of insurance the brake lines are stainless. I don't say my way is best but that is the direction I went. Wanted to keep the car somewhat in the theme of 1965.

"Best" can better be determined by you if you have a plan of what you intend to do with the car.

          Thanks all . . .
While maintaining as much originality as possible, and, with my chassis restoration pretty much completed, I'd like to continue down this path. Since this is going to be a driver, it looks like I'll be converting to the '65 power brakes system. However, I'll have to seriously think about spending the $1,100 or so to buy a "specifically designed for NCRS Top Flight judging" and "100% correct officially licensed GM restoration parts master cylinder and booster" from Corvette Stainless Steel Brakes. Just wish there was a better (and less costly) way to do the conversion. . . . .

If judging is not your concern just buy the 67+ M/C and make it work
