    67 rear script

The 67 judging guide states "CORVETTE in chrome script lettering resting on a textured satin finish chrome bar". The bar on my script is not satin finish. It is standard chrome. Can anyone explain the difference?

    Thank you,
    Randy

Randy, The reproduction emblems from Trim Parts is as you explain the factory emblems the chrome on the bar is satin finish. Trim parts makes a nice piece, the finish on the bar is a small detail. I don't know how the 67 Judges will judge this but I think that its not worth even a point.

Disagree, if the emblem is different in texture and surface finish that is 20% plus 20% for configuration and finish or a 40% deduct. Randy made mention of non satin and deviation of texture both noticeable deviations from an original. Pretty is one ting correctness is something else.

Gene, I think that the finish is just the issue. which I am not sure that every judge will see the difference. I know that you may have noticed this. so the point value is 5, 1 point would be a fair assessment ? I should have looked at the point value for the emblem. I had in my mind that all the emblems were bunched together. Thanks Ed

What you say about every judge is properly true. But I give the explanation as the CDCIF scoring system details it. If one follows it or not, it is the NCRS path.
